Exploring Picnik

Picnik is photo editing online, in your browser. It gives real people photo editing superpowers. It’s fast, easy, and offers tons of powerful tools, artistic effects, stickers, frames, touch-ups, scrapbooking tools and more. And that’s all for free! There’s even more available for Picnik Premium members which only cost 25 dollars for an entire year.  One can create awesome pictures with words and saying on them.  You can also create collages, wedding announcements and so much more! You can save your projects to your computer, to Facebook, Flicker, Myspace, Twitter, and many more sites. I would recommend this to those who are 8 and up. Picnik will personally walk you through the entire website. When I first started I had to play around with it for just a few minutes and then I got the hang of it. If you love to create cool pictures this is a tool for you! My favorite parts about Picnik are the teeth whitening, blemish control, boosting color effect, and being  able to turn parts of a picture black and white and leaving the rest in color. One can create great projects with Picnik and it is easy to use. You get a lot for free and the premium is at a reasonable price. Teachers can use this site to add some flavor to their students pictures. Allow the students to get creative and design a collage for a group project or a class field trip.
For those who are interested, I would recommend going to the site and trying it out. The best way to understand how Picnik works is just to try it out yourself.  Being able to play around with the different gadgets allows you to become familiar with the software. Nothing has to be downloaded on your computer so no memory is being used by this software. As long as you have internet access you are ready to start Picniking!

My Blogging Experience

Blogging is very new to me. Because this is my first blog, it took me a while to set it up and get it just how I wanted it. My favorite parts was designing the background, coming up with a name, and getting the gadgets.  For those new bloggers out there, I would advise you to look at other blogs before designing your own. By looking at developed blogs, it gave me ideas on how to design and set up my blog. Just have fun with it and make it personal and easy to look at. Good luck!
